Board Meeting Notice

The Board of Education of the Scarsdale Union Free School District will hold the following meetings on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Room 170-172 at Scarsdale High School, 2 Brewster Road, unless noted otherwise


At 5:00 p.m., the Board will convene a Special Meeting with a group of Board liaisons and volunteers in the SHS Learning Commons.


At 6:30 p.m., the Board will convene a Special Meeting to present the Tenure Recommendations for 2026. The Board will act on the recommendations of the Superintendent to confer tenure for the individuals presented.


At 7:15 p.m., the Board will hold a Statutory Budget Hearing on the 2026-27 Proposed Budget. 


Immediately following the Statutory Budget Hearing, the Board will convene a Special Meeting for the nomination and election of a Board Officer. 


At 7:45 p.m., the Board will convene a Business Meeting.


Highlights of the Business Meeting agenda are:

  • Cabinet Updates;

  • A Consent Agenda, including a Personnel Report;

  • Information and Discussion items, including guidelines on student speech and dress, the draft 2026-27 District-wide Safety and Emergency Management Plan, the first reading of Policy 8635 - Information and Data Privacy, Security Breach, and Notification; a Treasurer’s Report, budget transfers, the Superintendent evaluation process, Board leadership succession planning, the WPSBA administrative budget and Board of Directors slate, a nomination for the NYSSBA Area 10 Director, a resolution in support of a petition filed by the Lower Hudson Education Coalition (LHEC), and gift proposals over $1,000; and

  • Action items including the WPSBA administrative budget and Board of Directors slate, budget transfers, the LHEC petition resolution, and gift proposals to Edgewood and Quaker Ridge Elementary Schools, and the Middle School.
